The Charles Darwin Centre was developed as the vision of Paspaley Pearls Properties and internationally renowned architects Pei Cobb Freed & Partners. Rising 20 levels and with premium retail fronting The Mall and Bennett Street, the Paspaley Group head office is anchored to its origins.
In a prime position at the southern edge of downtown, the building is a prominent feature of the Darwin skyline. The Paspaley Group received the Commercial Architecture Award by the Australian Institute of Architects for the Charles Darwin Centre in 2016.
The iconic heritage building corners one of Sydney CBD most significant locations and houses the Paspaley Flagship Retail Boutique. The Australasian Banking Chambers provided the perfect structural underpinnings to create our home of Retail aligning heritage, pose and quality. Offering A-grade commercial office space across three levels of the 6 level building with marble stair case envelopes the original wrought steel bird-cage lift.
In June 2022, the Properties group completed the repositioning of a century year old commercial building, to become a 16-storey luxury hotel on one of the world’s most recognisable streets, and introducing The Wall Street Hotel. Creating a destination of luxurious experiences, in the bustling FiDi district of NYC.
Awarded New Hotel of the Year in 2023 by the Preferred Awards of Excellence, The Wall Street Hotel is independently run with 180 rooms, restaurant, fitness centre, three bars, conference facility and rooftop lounge; a proud holding finished with connections to our origins.
